Do you need a logo designer in Perth, or something more?

A great logo matters, but a logo on its own doesn’t usually do what you actually need it to do. What you’re usually after isn’t just a logo, it’s a brand. Let me explain the difference, because it’ll save you money and a lot of frustration down the track.
A logo is not a brand
A logo is a single mark. It’s the visual shorthand for your business, and yes, it’s very important. But a logo can’t answer the questions that actually win you clients:
- What colours represent your business everywhere it shows up?
- What fonts do you use on your website vs your invoices vs your Instagram?
- What’s the tone of voice in your emails, social posts and captions?
- How does everything fit together so you look consistently professional?
Everything I’ve listed above should be part of your brand. Your logo is just one piece sitting inside of this. When people search for a “logo designer in Perth,” what most of them really need is someone who can build that whole system, so their business looks put-together everywhere, not just in a single PNG file.
What happens when you only get a logo
I see this far too often. A business owner commissions a standalone logo, gets a nice PNG back, and then… has no idea what to do with it. They don’t have brand colours defined, so their website, socials, and documents all look slightly different. Their fonts are inconsistent. Six months later they’re back searching again, this time for a designer to “tidy everything up.”
What a brand designer actually gives you
As a Perth brand designer, when I work with a business, the logo is one deliverable among several. A proper brand package usually includes:
- Logo design or refresh
Yyour primary mark and favicon, with clear rules for how to use them - Colour palette
Defined properly in HEX, RGB, and CMYK so your brand looks the same online and in print. - Brand voice and tone
This is so your writing sounds like you, consistently. - Typography
Primary and secondary fonts, chosen for accessibility across web, reflecting your brand voice. - Visual style
Direction on photography, illustration, and iconography that fits your brand.
Brand Guidelines are a professional framework you, your team, and any future collaborators can follow so everything you put out into the world is consistent and the right message.

Who I work with
I work with professional service businesses across Perth (and beyond): think health practitioners, consultants, lawyers, accountants, and other service providers who want to look as credible online as they are in person. If your branding is currently a folder of random logo files rather than a proper system, I can help you out.
So, do you just need a logo?
Maybe you actually do. If you’re testing an idea or on a tight startup budget, a simple logo can be a fine starting point, and there’s no shame in that.
But if you’re building something you want to last, something that needs to look professional across your website, your socials, and everything in between, it’s worth investing in the full picture from the start. A logo makes you recognisable, but a brand makes you trusted.
