Hey I'm Sam, a strategic website designer & developer from Perth

When I left high school (a while back now) I was pretty lost, like a lot of us are. I tried to find myself through a ridiculous number of false starts: a bit of law, a bit of arts, even Japanese language, before finally completing a Bachelor of Psychology, with zero intention of actually becoming a psychologist. I knew I wanted to help people. I just didn't know how, or with what.

I sort of fell into graphic design after that, and somewhere along the way developed a love for coding and web best practices (maybe because I love rules and structure more than I like to admit). I also spent time working at a local SEO company, which gave me a real understanding of what actually makes a website perform, not just look good.

These days, I choose to work with health practitioners and professional service businesses because I understand them, and because they do so much for the people in their community. Helping them show up properly online feels like it's own way of helping people from behind the scenes.

Sometimes here, sometimes there

Part of why I love this work is the flexibility it gives me. When I'm not glued to my computer screen, I'll be skateboarding, kiteboarding, trying to beat someone at pool (billiards) who definitely plays more than I do, or planning my next travel adventure. In the summertime you'll often find me skateboarding in Perth, but during the colder months I'll be kiting somewhere in Asia or Europe!

When I am at my desk, here's how I work, using tools that are flexible, modern, and client-friendly. I'm talking Relume, Figma and Webflow. I'm always testing new tech and processes to stay ahead and deliver even better results for my clients, always learning, always growing.

I also help service professionals build a consistent brand across their website, socials, and everything in between, so the client experience feels the same, wherever they land. You focus on the work you're doing, and I'll make sure your brand and website reflects it clearly, so the right people can find you and choose you.

How long does it take to build a website?
This depends on the project size and complexity, but most websites take 8 weeks from start to finish. I’ll always give you an estimation upfront and continuous updates on progress.
When can you start my project?
I’m usually booked up to 2 months in advance, so the sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can start working on your new website or branding!
How much will my website cost?
Pricing varies depending on your needs, features, and design complexity. I offer custom quotes after understanding your goals, you can book a discovery call to start this process. I have also listed base rates on my pricing page.
What's the process for getting started?
Reach out through my contact form or by email on my contact page. We’ll have a quick chat to see if I can help you with your project and we’ll book in a free discovery call. From here, I’ll send you a proposal and we’ll start working on your new project.
Do you work with businesses outside of Perth/Australia?
I work with clients all over the world. I’ve worked with clients from the USA, Spain, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK. I take payment in pretty much all currencies and use Wise or Stripe.
What platforms do you work with?
I specialise in Webflow. It’s a professional tool built around web standards and produces clean, maintainable, and accessible code. Unlike more restrictive, template-driven platforms, Webflow gives me full control to design and build fully custom websites using proper HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

This means I’m working directly with clean, semantic code, so the sites I build are very scalable and easy to maintain. The result is professional-grade work that performs exactly as it should!
Can I update my website myself once it’s built?
This is something we talk about in a discovery call, but the short answer is absolutely! How much control you would like will also determine what I build the website with, so it’s always good to book a call when you’re ready to chat.
Do you provide hosting and ongoing support?
I work with Webflow, and offer both the option to host with me or host yourself. If I built your website, I’d love to continue working together & really value long-term partnerships. Learn more on my pricing page.
Do you offer copywriting?
Yes! I take care of everything involving your new website, the strategy phase helps me understand your business well enough to write copy that actually sounds like you. . I’m also happy for you to provide your own if you’d like it to come 100% from your end.
Can you help with SEO (search engine optimisation)?
I implement basic SEO best practices during development, like on-page SEO, clean code and all the right tags. For more advanced SEO, I can recommend a specialist or help coordinate with your marketing team.
Do you use AI?
Yes! I use AI tools to support and speed up parts of my workflow. This may include site-mapping, content planning, design research, and generating ideas. It helps me work more efficiently and stay focused on the creative, strategic parts of your website. However, everything I produce is completely tailored to you and your business and you definitely won’t catch me using tools like GoDaddy’s or Wix’s AI builders – ew.
Do you use subcontractors?

My commitment to you is to deliver the best possible website within your budget, that meets your requirements and your expectations. To do this, I occasionally rely on a close network of exceptionally talented independent providers like myself. I manage all of this internally, with no extra cost or time commitment from yourself. Your input stays the same, but my output increases to meet the objectives.
